I Just Bought another Raised Bed to go with the one I Bought Last Year
I had so much fun with the raised bed that I bought last year, I just purchased another one that will sit right beside it. I’ll be able to plant double what I planted last year and have enough fresh vegetables that I can put up and have through the winter. At least that is the plan.
Using plant containers of all kinds is a great way to grow the flowers, herbs, vegetables and some fruits that you can nibble on all summer and fall. It worked out so well last year that I was able to feed the family all the way up to the first hard freeze. We did have a few items that lasted a while after they were harvested because we took them before they were ready. Those were okay but there is nothing like taking veggies from the garden to the table; yum! So the plan is to plant double what I did last year and freeze or can what we don’t eat fresh and see how long it all lasts. Fortunately, I have an aunt that has done this before and she is going to help me with this endeavor. I’m sure at least one of us will be thoroughly entertained!
